Hello everyone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! XD
Yep, it's WCC's FIRST BIRTHDAY! YAY!
Imagine it: One year ago, in a cold, cold February just like this one, WCC was born in a hotel in Chicago where I registered for my Gmail. We had nine hits that first month.
Now, look at us! We have almost 50,000 hits in our first year!
This may be WCC's birthday. But the gifts are for you! You may have noticed the very festive theme change, as well as the change of tagline and a few other things around the site.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

PS: Happy Belated BDay to the Volume 54 of the Jamaa Journal, on February 16th.

ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY WCC! I know i havent comented in a long time.**** BLOGGER MADE THE **** WORD THING THIS ****** MUCH HARDER!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this has nothing to do with AJ or anything, but I discovered the hybrid/offspring of a False Killer Whale mating with a bottlenose dolphin.A Whale?A Dolphin? Yes,it's a Wholphin.(Since Wikipedia isnt copyrighted im coping of it XD)
A Wholphin or Wolphin is a rare hybrid, born from a mating of a female Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops Truncatus)with a male False killer whale (Pseudorca crassidens) The name implies a hybrid of a whale and a dolphin, although taxonomically, both are within the "oceanic family",which is within the "toothed whale" suborder.
Although they have been reported to exist in the wild, there are currently only two in captivity, both at Sea life Park in Hawaii. Wholphins, though not commonly sighted by fisherman, are known in popular seafaring lore as "The great gray Beast"
Kekaimalu, the first wholphin in captivity, proved fertile when she gave birth at a very young age.The calf died after a few days. However,in 1991,Kekaimalu gave birth once again,to daughter Pohaikealoha. For two years she cared for the calf, but did not nurse it.(It was hand-reared by trainers).Pohaikealoha died at age 9.
On December 23,2004,Kekaimalu had her thrid calf, daughter Kawili kai, sired by a male bottlenose. This calf did nurse and was playful.Only months after birth, she was the size of a 1 year old bottlenose. Both remain in captivity, and are now part of the normal tour at sea life Park in Hawaii.Kekaimalu is featured ni the main dolphin show at Sea life Park.
End of report.
