New Scamming, Old Scamming!

Hello everyone!
If you're looking for the stuff on Crane Feathers, the next WCC story, scroll down to the post below.
Anyway, I have two things here to tell you:
1. An old way of scamming has been resolved.
2. A new way of scamming has appeared.
The old way that was resolved was the 'click the pillow' routine. Now, after the thing that shows the trade and has the accept/deny buttons, there's another one that says 'Are you sure you want to accept this trade?' with the buttons in the CENTER of the screen instead of lower corner, etc.
The new way of scamming that has come about is what I call 'team scamming'. I just heard about this method from someone I've known for a long time (although I won't mention any names).
Here's how it works:

Two people team up and one decides to play as (or, in my friend's case, was forced to. The situation that would have resulted would have been... bad, to say the least) the 'no-chat' person.
So what they do is the other one finds a person with a rare item and tells them something like, 'Hey! My friend might want to trade something with you for that item. They don't have free chat, see, and their trade buttons don't work, but my friend has ___(rare item name here)___ that you might like to trade for that.'
If the person says that they're interested, they give the item by Jam-A-Gram to the 'non-chat' person.
Then, if they have an item that everyone has (in my friend's situation a fruit bowl became a candy basket, and the candy basket was given to the friend to give her that) they'll send that instead. Then they give the item to the chat person (somewhere else. Otherwise the person will see they scammed and report them before they leave). Probably they then repeat the process, switching roles, to make it fair, if both are willing.

So... those of you that are members, watch out! This form of scamming can probably work on non-members too, except that they won't give an item in return (even in member trades they might not). So, thus, if you see two members walk up to you saying something like this, head to your own (locked) den or teleport to a friend on a different server. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY JAM-A-GRAM TRADES. THEY WILL NOT BE FAIR AND UNFORTUNATELY CAN'T BE REGULATED BY ANIMAL JAM TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE FAIR.
One problem resolved, another created!
Well, it's a start!
Bye for now!

  1. So that's the team scamming you met about earlier today...

  2. @ Darling:
And don't mention any names... but the person you saw with me was the one that was involved in it. And the situation... I won't even bother to hint at it. It was BAD.

  3. Wcc Mod HjacklerMay 20, 2011

Betcha dont know who made that up and spread it! Who else?

  4. @Woodswolf
Oh that person in Coral Canyons then yeah...

  5. Thank you for telling me! I think there's a third way though...I'm not sure what it is though.

  6. LittleMagicFriendMay 20, 2011

I feel bad...Someone forced me to do that scamming...There was nothing I could do...I had to...That person lost 2 rares...

  7. Caitlyn22222May 21, 2011

    WELL THAT'S BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. WCC Mod HjacklerMay 21, 2011

I dont scam anymore but i still have a 80 person scam clan called The night whisperers. I come up wth new ways to scam and tell it to them in coded messages :)

  9. @ Silverstorm:
    A THIRD way?
Well, there's still the old fashioned Jam-A-Gram scamming... again, it's only profitable for members.
    @ Little Magicfriend:
Well, it wasn't you I was talking about... but, well... maybe you both had the same situation. Maybe I could set up a counseling program or something like that?
    @ Hjackler:
Well, here's a method you could try:
Make up a fake way to scam that DOESN'T work... and give it to them. Then say that that's the only way that scamming works anymore. Then they'll all give it up... hopefully.

  10. @Hjackler
    I hate those people....

  11. Wcc Mod HjacklerMay 21, 2011

@darling, Yeah i think you had a run in wth my assistant once..... @woodswolf, yeah, but then my clan would fall apart. i plan all the robberies and they fulfill thyem. its flawless. our security is in pregnable A2 silver storm Actually there is 7 ways, All invented by me :)

  14. @ Hjackler:
How about you just tell me your scamming methods so that I can post them and everyone can avoid them?

  15. @Hjackler
I just said there was a third way, I never said there wasn't a fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh.

  16. Wcc Mod HjacklerMay 21, 2011

  18. @ Hjackler:
And I can understand that. But all great empires crumble somehow... Like the Egyptians. Their empire died when the Romans invaded. Well, your empire may have to fall when the non-scammers invade.
    @ Silverstorm:
And I can vouch for that.

  19. Wcc Mod HjacklerMay 23, 2011

Ha. That wont happen :) well it might someday. But right now My clan is goin full steam. Sorry guys, but you have the things you like and so do i. If non-scammers attack there gonna get whupped. Nough said :)

  20. @ Everybody:
Well, here's a way to be safe, just for everyone to know:

  21. ChcolatepieMay 24, 2011

Woodswolf, because scamming is NOT nice why did you take Hjackler as a Mod? Well its okay if you let him stay as a Mod but... Well just forget it if you dont understand...

    Chocolatepie, sis of adelina

  22. @ Chocolatepie:
I only found out quite recently that Hjackler was a scammer. I'm fine with that. I want to know SOME of the stuff that's going on, however...
Also, back at the beginning, he was the only one who commented! Look at some of the early posts!

    @all jammers reading this comment:

If a jammer asks ya to trade by jam a gram or normaly and says if you say no she/he will report you say YES. Its worth it. Even if its somethin you REALLY like. Its ok if you say no but im SURE your gonna be banned cause that actually REALLY happend with my friend's account and she was banned for TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!! So if that type of scammin happens to you say YES.(if you do not wanna get banned but maybe you wont. I said MAYBE)

  29. @anonymous:
Or you could just go somewhere else or, if your den is locked, just go there!
    @ the princess SCAMMER:
You know it's not good to scam, right?
tell us at least 1 of your scamming methods for Woodswolf to post on her blog.

Hello! When using the comment form, there are 3 pre-posting checks:
1. Does it say what you want it to?
2. Is it nice (no bad words)?
3. Did you use HTML code correctly (if you used it)?
